1

Step 1: Marking Out Your Wall

Measure and mark the planned wall location using stakes and string. Ensure proper alignment with your property boundaries and any necessary permits.

2

Step 2: Drilling Holes

Drill holes for posts at regular intervals according to your wall design specifications. Depth should match the above-ground portion of the post or follow your engineer’s specifications.

3

Step 3: Installing Posts

Place each post in the hole, ensuring a 40 mm setback for every additional mtr of wall height

4

Step 4: Let the Concrete Set

For walls over 1 mtr in height, it is recommended to wait 7 days before applying lateral soil pressure, or follow the specifications provided by a qualified engineer.

5

Step 5: Inserting the Sleepers

Slide composite sleepers into place between the posts, following the manufacturer's recommended installation pattern for your wall height.

6

Step 6: Drainage and Backfill

Place geo fabric and 100 mm of drainage gravel at the base of the wall. Position the ag pipe on top of the gravel, then cover it with additional drainage gravel up to the level of the second top sleeper. See the installation diagram on the Technical page for reference.

Step 1: Marking Out Your Fence Line

Measure and mark the fence line using stakes and string. Ensure the line is straight and follows your property boundaries. Use a measuring tape to space post locations evenly (typically 6-8 feet apart).

2

Step 2: Drilling Post Holes

Using an auger or post hole digger, create holes at your marked locations. Holes should be approximately 1/3 the length of your posts and 3 times the post width in diameter. For most fences, this means 24-30 inches deep.

3

Step 3: Installing Fence Posts

Place posts in the holes, ensuring they're plumb (perfectly vertical) using a level. Temporarily brace them in position with 2x4 lumber. Check alignment with string to ensure all posts are in straight line.

4

Step 4: Let the Concrete Set

Pour quick-set concrete around each post, sloping it slightly away from the post to shed water. Allow it to cure according to manufacturer's instructions (typically 24-48 hours). Don't attach any fencing during this time.

5

Step 5: Inserting your Rails, Fence Sheets & Riveting

Once your posts are set, attach horizontal rails between posts using the provided brackets. Then secure the fence sheets to the rails using the provided rivets or fasteners. Work from one end to the other, checking alignment as you go.
